Following the attacks in Paris on the night of Friday 13 to Saturday 14 November 2015, and in order to ensure the safety of visitors, the Cité de l'architecture & du patrimoine is applying the preventive measures decided by the government for public administrations. La Cité is open under the usual conditions. It is recommended not to come to the City with bags and suitcases. Suitcases and large capacity bags are prohibited. In all cases, only luggage not exceeding the maximum sizes (55cm x 35cm x 20cm) are allowed and must be left in the changing rooms after being checked. All persons must submit to security checks. La Cité thanks its visitors in advance for their understanding of the slowdown caused by entry controls. In the event of an incident, it is necessary first to escape from the danger zone, alert the surveillance personnel, obey their orders, the public may be confined or evacuated in secure areas pending the arrival of the Police.
